With over 40 years of experience, Michael Day has extensively advised a wide range of clients involving both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Michael has appeared before all levels of courts in Ontario including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List, and the Court of Appeal. In particular, Michael has argued over 1,000 contested trials, motions, applications, and appeals. Michael has advocated for clients before various administrative tribunals in Ontario, and has represented clients through alternative dispute resolution processes (including mediation and arbitration). As an agent, Michael has represented the Ministry of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Community and Social Services in various litigation matters. Michael has addressed the Senate House Committee in Ottawa on important matters of legislation.
Michael’s preferred areas of practice are currently Corporate/Commercial Law, Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, and complex Family Law matters.
When providing advice to clients, Michael uses his vast courtroom experience as a valuable asset. Michael’s knowledge of contentious matters assists with the preparation of complex commercial and business agreements as well with providing advice regarding general corporate/commercial and estate planning matters.
Michael has developed a broad understanding of the business needs and challenges facing both new and established businesses. Using his broad professional and business experience, he is able to provide practical advice to his clients.
Michael has taught law at Sheridan College’s adult education program and has mentored and provided articles to a number of junior lawyers over the years.
Michael Day attended University of Toronto for two years and then enrolled at the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and graduated with his degree in law in 1978. Michael regularly attends numerous Continuing Legal Education programs sponsored by The Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and Osgoode Law School. At the University of Toronto (Erindale College) in Mississauga, Michael founded a legal clinic for students.
Michael is married, has four children, and eight grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating and reading.
Michael is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and The Peel Law Association. He has been a member of the Area Committee for The Ontario Legal Aid Plan which is a statutory appeal tribunal for matters of legal aid. Michael also has had experience on the Ethics Committee of a local hospital in Mississauga and is a director on a number of private Corporations. He was awarded the McCarthy & McCarthy Award and the University of Windsor Award for academics in law school.
David J. Borg BBA (Hons), JD
David Borg’s primary area of practice focuses on Corporate/Commercial Law matters, where he deals with a variety of services, including: acting for vendors and purchasers in business acquisitions/sales, incorporations and amalgamations, shareholder agreements, corporate reorganizations and rollovers, review and negotiation of commercial leases, and dissolution and winding up of corporations.
David also leads the firm’s Family/Matrimonial Law practice. David assists his matrimonial clients as necessary through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. He appears and advocates in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice.
David was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Ontario in 2011. David graduated with distinction from Bond University in Queensland, Australia where he completed his Juris Doctor degree. He is also a graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Hons). He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Peel Law Association.
David has two children and in his spare time, he enjoys staying active with his family, golf, and exercise.
Sanitha M. MirandaB.A. (Hons), LL.B
Sanitha Miranda primarily practices in the areas of Real Estate Law (both residential and commercial), and Corporate/Commercial Law. In addition, Sanitha regularly deals with Estate Planning and Civil Litigation matters.
As counsel, Sanitha has successfully closed thousands of residential real estate transactions, and has extensive experience negotiating and finalizing purchase and sale Agreements of Purchase and Sale, refinance transactions, unsecured lending arrangements, lease agreements, and new build agreements. Furthermore, she has extensive experience and frequently advises clients with respect to corporate matters, structuring their estate planning, estate matters and civil litigation.
Sanitha has volunteered as a caseworker at the Legal Advice Clinic in London, England, and has previously worked at the largest property law firm in the United Kingdom.
Sanitha sits on the Board of Directors for multiple organizations, including the Streetsville Business Improvement Association (BIA).
Sanitha graduated from law school with honours, and received “High Distinction” for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in Political Science and History. Prior to practising law, Sanitha worked as a constituency assistant to the former Member of Parliament for Mississauga-Streetsville.
When not travelling and exploring the various cuisines of the world, Sanitha enjoys trying to improve her culinary skills in the kitchen, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Frank M. PinizzottoB.A. (Hons), LL.B, LL.M
Frank Pinizzotto maintains a broad Civil Litigation and Corporate/Commercial Law practice.
Frank’s Civil Litigation practice involves contractual disputes, debt collection, commercial property disputes, shareholder litigation, estate litigation, construction litigation, and contentious matrimonial law matters. He has appeared as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on numerous occasions, and has experience arguing emergency motions for urgent injunctive relief. Frank is a strong advocate who is results-oriented. He is committed to helping his clients achieve their desired results in a cost-effective and practical manner.
Throughout his Corporate/Commercial Law practice, Frank regularly advises a wide range of corporate clients, including small family owned businesses, national corporations, and not-for-profit corporations, on a broad variety of business law issues. He has experience successfully closing asset/share purchase and sale transactions, multi-party credit facility arrangements, and commercial refinancing transactions, implementing corporate reorganizations, drafting security agreements, and negotiating shareholder agreements.
When away from the office, Frank enjoys bass fishing, fitness, and attempting to perfect his low-and-slow smoked Texas-style brisket.

Christopher A. GrayB.A. (Hons), LL.B., LL.M.
During his articles, Christopher will be directly involved in all aspects of the firm’s practice.
Away from the office, Chris enjoys playing golf and hockey, watching sports and auto racing, and traveling the world. As someone who was born and raised in Streetsville, Christopher values giving back and being part of a community that he holds in a special place.

Mona Cederberg has been with the office since its inception. She has a Bachelor of Applied Arts and has successfully completed the Law Clerk program offered through The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. Over the years, Mona has attended many continuing legal education programs presented by The Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ministry of the Attorney General (Ontario). Mona handles all areas of practice with a focus on estates, business and corporate matters.

Sherry Myers is a graduate of the Law Clerk program at Humber College and is our estates clerk. She completed the co-op portion of the program with our office and upon graduation, joined our firm on a full-time basis in May 2006. She is here to answer your inquiries relating to the drafting and preparing of Last Wills and Testaments and Powers of Attorney.

Karen joined our office in April, 2007. Karen’s primary focus is real estate and she is knowledgeable in all areas, including purchases, sales and mortgages. She will be able to provide assistance and information with respect to current transactions as well as answer your questions as a new real estate client or if you are inquiring about a closed transaction.

Tammy joined our office in February, 2021. In 2014, Tammy graduated with honours from the law clerk diploma program at Trios College. After her studies at Trios College, Tammy began her legal career at a law firm which exclusively practiced real estate law. Following this, Tammy gained experience at various law firms, where she worked in the areas of commercial litigation, expropriation, and taxation for over 6 years. Tammy has now returned to her roots, and is a member of our real estate practice. Please do not hesitate to direct any general questions regarding real estate to Tammy, as she is happy to assist.
Yasmin McCarraher joined our firm in November of 2011 as our office administrator. She came to our firm with many years of experience in administrative duties including service in a court room environment and an Examiner’s Office. Yasmin also assists our real estate department and will be happy to provide you with a quote as well as answer all of your preliminary inquiries. Yasmin will be your first contact with the office and will direct your calls to the appropriate person, answer preliminary inquiries as well as schedule appointments.
